Breakfast at The Churchtown Inn

A four-course, sit-down breakfast is a tradition at Churchtown Inn Bed & Breakfast. Fabulous early-morning coffee, a point of pride for innkeeper Jim, is served in warmed Churchtown Inn mugs the parlor. Guests then move into the elegant Garden Room, where a fruit course awaits. Far from a simple start, sample fruit-course dishes include Amish spiced peaches, baked gingered bananas, fruit soups, compotes, or frozen fruit sorbet.

Unique to the inn for more than twenty-five years is a moist, eleven-ingredient granola, which is served as the second course (very addictive; guests often purchase a bag to take home – and call to order bags after they’ve left – as it is unavailable in stores).

Main-course favorites include lemon curd crepes, Guten Morgen (traditional German egg and bacon casserole), pina colada French toast, and egg souffle. Finally, a small signature treat of handmade fudge or truffles ends breakfast, sweetly preparing you for a fun-filled day in Amish country.

Vegan, gluten-free, dairy free menus are available.
